TEAM NOTES
Coach: Luis Costa (1st year - took over for Txetxu Rojo after Week 21) Liga Primera
Record: 9-12-5
Rank: 15th, 32 points
Last Result: 1-0 win vs. Mallorca, February 17
Streak: Won 1 Next Game: at Deportivo, February 23 Zaragoza took an important step in their quest to avoid relegation with a 1-0 win over Mallorca last weekend at the Romareda stadium. Paraguayan international Roberto Acuna's goal in the 56th minute provided the margin of victory for Zaragoza, which moved five points clear of the relegation zone. Acuna is suffering from tendonitis in his right knee and is likely to sit out this weekend's match against Deportivo in La Coruna. Also unavailable for Zaragoza will be Yordi, who was sent on loan to Blackburn Rovers for the remainder of the season. Yordi had lost his place at Zaragoza since the arrival of Savo Milosevic. Coach Luis Costa has a number of players who missed training this week for various nagging injuries and illnesses. Paco (flu) and Esquerdinha (muscles strain) are expected to return for the weekend. Zaragoza have earned points in 10 of their previous 20 visits to La Coruna.
