Coach: Jose More (3rd year) Liga Primera
Record: 2-0-0
Rank: 5th, 6 points
Last Result: 1-0 win vs. Villarreal, vs. Recreativo, September 15
Streak: Won 2 Next Game: at Deportivo, September 21 Copa del Rey Last Result: 1st Round ~ 2-1 win at Sporting Gijon, September 11 Valladolid is off to its best start in the Liga Primera in over 30 years after a 1-0 win over Villarreal last weekend. Coach Jose More's club posted its second straight shutout, marking the first time that the club has accomplished consecutive clean sheets in 19 months. Gonzalo Colsa scored his first Liga Primera goal in two seasons to provide the margin of victory for Valladolid, which travels to La Coruna this weekend to take on Deportivo. Torres Gomez has been ruled out of the match while midfielder Chema is in doubt. More is likely to use the same 11 that defeated Villarreal last weekend. David Sousa and David Aganzo will be ineligible for next week's match against Real Madrid as part of their loan agreement from the Madrid side.
