TEAM NOTES
Coach: Alberto Malesani (1st year) Serie A
Record: 9-9-5
Rank: 7th, 32 points
Last Result: 3-0 loss vs. Inter, February 17
Streak: Lost 1 Next Game: at Bologna, February 24 Verona lost only its second home game of the season, going down 3-0 against Inter last weekend...there was worse news on the injury front, with goalkeeper Fabrizio Ferron, midfielder Vincenzo Italiano and striker Mario Frick all having to leave the field during the first-half...Frick's injury seems the most serious, after he sustained eye damage following a clash with Inter defender Ivan Cordoba...coach Alberto Malesani commented the defeat: "I don't want to criticize my boys, in fact I want to compliment them at the way they played in the face of bad luck, with all the injury problems we had"...Anthony Seric and Frick both miss Sunday's game at the Renato dall'Ara stadium against in-form Bologna through injury...Verona's last win in Bologna dates back to March 1978, when the score was 3-0.
