It sickens me that Man. U would still rank above Chelsea despite the [whipping] that was delivered to them.

If Barcelona deserves top spot, why should Arsenal drop out given their recent draw in Champions league competition?

ATLANTA (CNN/SI) -- Barcelona holds on to the number-one spot for the third straight week in the CNN/World Soccer Top 10, a unique ranking of football clubs issued each Monday and determined through voting by correspondents from CNN Sports and World Soccer magazine.

With European club soccer on hold for Euro 2000 qualifying, the Top 10 has seen its most static week to date -- the only change coming at the number-ten spot.

Brazilian league-leader Corinithians took advantage of the European hiatus, beating Parana 1-0 and knocking Germany's Borussia Dortmund out after just one week in the Top 10.

Number-one Barcelona faces a severe test this week in its fight to stay atop the Spanish Primera, hosting powerful Real Madrid October 13. Six days later, Barcelona has a Champions League Group B rematch with England's Arsenal.

Number two Lazio travels to Udinese Saturday looking to move up from third place in the Italian Serie A.

After topping the poll for its first seven weeks, Manchester United comes in number three again, still reeling from a lackluster run of form that included a 5-0 loss to Chelsea. Still just one point back in the English standings, Man United hosts newly promoted Watford Saturday as it seeks to regain form before a Champions League rematch at Olympique Marseille.

Tied for fourth in the Top 10, Chelsea plays at Liverpool Saturday before traveling to Turkey to face Galatasaray next week in Champions League action. Chelsea is three points back in England with two game in hand.

The other fourth place team -- Inter Milan -- plays at Venezia Saturday. Inter did not qualify for the current round of European competition.

AC Milan stays at number six, followed by Boca Juniors, which regained the top spot in Argentina with a 2-0 win over Instituto Cordoba.

Germany's Bayern Munich again comes in at number eight, followed by Real Madrid, which has a chance to move up if it can reverse its fortunes against Barcelona Wednesday.
