Tiger Woods amazed the golf world with his consistently spectacular play this year, winning three of the sport's four major championships.

After cruising to victories in the U.S. Open and British Open, Woods fought off upstart Bob May in a three-hole playoff Sunday to join Ben Hogan as the only players to win three majors in a year.

Here is a look at the statistics behind Woods' three major victories:

Tiger's average driving distance for all three tournaments  308   Highest: 319.8 yards in the British. Lowest: 299.25 in the U.S. Open. 
Total prize money won by Tiger in winning the three majors  $2.5 million   With his $6.69 million overall earnings, Woods has already broken the Tour money record he set last year.
