0 -- Number of times Bobby Labonte and Dale Earnhardt failed to finish in 2000. Not coincidentally, they finished 1-2 in the final points standings.
1 -- Races missed by Johnny Benson, who still finished better in the points than 12 drivers who made every race of the season.
2 -- Number of wins by Dale Earnhardt Jr. in the first 11 races of the season.
3 -- Number of drivers killed in 2000. Adam Petty lost his life in a Busch Series practice accident in May at New Hampshire. Kenny Irwin was killed at the same track during a Winston Cup practice run in July, and Tony Roper died during the Truck Series race at Texas in October.
4 -- Number of first-time winners in the Winston Cup Series. Dale Earnhardt Jr. won at Texas in April, Matt Kenseth won at Charlotte in May, Steve Park won at the road course in Watkins Glen and Jerry Nadeau won the season finale at Atlanta.
4 -- Consecutive years Bobby Labonte improved his points standings. He finished 11th in 1996, seventh in 1997, sixth in 1998, second in 1999 and first in 2000.
5 -- Rookie of the Year candidates for 2001 (Kurt Busch, Casey Atwood, Ron Hornaday, Andy Houston, Jeff Fuller). All five drove in at least one Winston Cup race in 2000.

9 -- Poles won by Rusty Wallace in 2000. Wallace only won from the pole one time in 2000 (at the Bristol night race). His teammate, Jeremy Mayfield, won four poles, giving Penske Racing the top spot in over one-third of the races.
10 -- Number of consecutive times Bill Elliott has been named Most Popular Driver by fans of the Winston Cup Series.
11 -- Top-10 finishes by Matt Kenseth, who won the Rookie of the Year award over Earnhardt Jr. Kenseth also won the Coca-Cola 600 in May.
11 -- Number of times Bobby Hamilton and Scott Pruett failed to finish in 2000. That number led the Winston Cup Series.
14 -- Different race winners in 2000 -- that is most in a single season since 1991, when there were also 14. The drivers who won in 2000: Dale Jarrett, Bobby Labonte, Jeff Burton, Dale Earnhardt, Dale Earnhardt Jr, Matt Kenseth, Tony Stewart, Rusty Wallace, Mark Martin, Steve Park, Jeremy Mayfield, Ward Burton, Jeff Gordon and Jerry Nadeau.
19 -- Times 59-year-old Dave Marcis failed to qualify in 2000.
25 -- The number of drivers who competed in all 34 official Winston Cup events in 2000. It takes 43 cars to fill out a race field.
30 -- Number of wins by Joe Gibbs Racing since its inception in 1992.
39 -- Laps led in the Daytona 500 by Johnny Benson, who drove an unsponsored Pontiac at the time. Benson led with just four laps to go before he was passed by a gang of Fords. Benson eventually finished 12th.
84 -- Career Winston Cup wins by the retiring Darrell Waltrip -- third all-time (tied with Bobby Allison).
265 -- Margin of Bobby Labonte's Winston Cup championship. He scored 5,130 points to Dale Earnhardt's 4,865.
616 -- Margin of Jeff Green's Busch Series championship. He scored 5,005 points to teammate Jason Keller's 4,389.
16,000,000 -- Reported amount in dollars United Parcel Service will pay Robert Yates to sponsor the No. 88 Ford of Dale Jarrett next season.
