Willie Stargell led the Pirates to a 1979 World Series victory thanks largely to this Game 7 home run.

2 -- Times that Stargell hit a home run out of Dodger Stadium. His 506-foot blast off Alan Foster on Aug. 5, 1969, cleared the right-field pavilion, as did his 470-foot homer on May 8, 1973, off Andy Messersmith. Only two players have done it since then -- Mike Piazza and Mark McGwire.

6 -- Home runs that reached the upper deck in right field at Three Rivers Stadium, four of which were hit by Stargell.
11 -- Home runs hit by Stargell in April 1971, tying him with six other players for the NL record of home runs in the month. The others are Mike Schmidt ('76), Barry Bonds ('96), Gary Sheffield ('96), Larry Walker ('97), Vinny Castilla ('98) and Mark McGwire ('98).
15 -- Seasons that Stargell hit at least 20 home runs, including 13 in a row from 1964-76. Hank Aaron holds the record for most 20-home run seasons with 20.
18 -- Times that a home run cleared the 86-foot high right-field roof at Pittsburgh's old Forbes Field. Seven of those were by Stargell.
25 -- The record for total bases in a seven-game World Series, set by Stargell in 1979.
30 -- Home runs hit by Stargell before the 1971 and '73 All-Star breaks.
82.4 -- Percentage (352 of 427) of Baseball Writers' Association of America voters who put Stargell on their ballots in 1988.
199 -- Players who were inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame before Stargell in 1988, making him the 200th inductee. He was the 17th player to be elected on the first ballot.
296 -- Home runs hit by Stargell in the 1970s, the most by any slugger in the decade. Reggie Jackson was second with 292.
535 -- The record for the longest home run hit at Montreal's Olympic Stadium, set by Stargell on May 20, 1978, off Expos pitcher Wayne Twitchell.
