0 -- Intentional walks allowed by Arizona pitcher Curt Schilling this season. Bernie Williams
Bernie Williams is two home runs away from tying the all-time postseason record. AP
.746 -- The Yankees' postseason winning percentage (53-18) since 1996. Twenty-four of those are come-from-behind wins. They are 29-7 on the road and 24-11 at home. The Bronx Bombers are 16-3 in the World Series.
3 -- Complete games tossed by Schilling this postseason, making him the first to accomplish the feat since Orel Hershiser in 1988.
4 -- The record for most victories in a single postseason, shared by seven pitchers. Schilling (3-0) needs one to tie the mark, while Yankees hurlers Andy Pettitte and Mike Mussina each need two.
5 -- Diamondbacks who have previous World Series experience -- Schilling, Brian Anderson, Craig Counsell, Steve Finley and Matt Williams.
6 1/3 -- Scoreless innings pitched by D'backs closer Byung-Hyun Kim in four outings this postseason. The 22-year-old right-hander has converted all three of his save opportunities.
7 -- Yankees who have played on all five of their World Series teams since 1996 -- Mariano Rivera, Tino Martinez, Paul O'Neill, Derek Jeter, Andy Pettitte, Luis Sojo and Bernie Williams.
10 -- Different teams the Yankees have faced in their 37 previous World Series appearances. The D'backs will be No. 11, joining the Dodgers (11 times), Giants (7), Cardinals (5), Braves (4), Reds (3), Pirates (2), Cubs (2), Phillies (1), Padres (1) and Mets (1).
11 -- Consecutive postseason series won by the Yankees since losing in the first round to Cleveland in 1997.
13 -- First-year managers to lead a team to the World Series, including Arizona's Bob Brenly. The last first-year skipper to win a Series was the Yankees' Ralph Houk in 1961.
16 -- Career postseason home runs by Bernie Williams, who needs two more tie Mickey Mantle and Reggie Jackson for the all-time lead. The Yankees center fielder has benefited from the extra rounds of playoffs, having played in 76 postseason games compared to 65 for Mantle and 77 for Jackson.
22 -- Consecutive save opportunities converted by Rivera in the postseason. In 49 innings during the streak, he has allowed four earned runs for an ERA of 0.73.
32.8 -- Highest Nielsen rating ever for a World Series, set in 1980 when the Phillies defeated the Royals in six games. The past four Series involving the Yankees have been duds ratings-wise -- 17.4 in 1996, 14.1 in '98, 16.0 in '99 and 12.4 last season.
250-236 -- Buck Showalter's record as D'backs manager from 1998-2000, including a division title in '99, before being replaced by Brenly.
313-268 -- Showalter's record as Yankees manager from 1992-95, including a wild-card berth in '95, before being replaced by current skipper Joe Torre.
1907 -- The last time a team started a pitcher with at least 19 losses in a World Series game. The Tigers lost both games to the Cubs with 20-20 George Mullin on the mound. Arizona's Albie Lopez lost 19 games this season (and another in the playoffs) but has been taken out of the rotation for the Series.
2,055 -- Regular-season games played by Arizona first baseman Mark Grace before playing in the World Series. It was the third-longest drought among active players, behind Barry Bonds (2,296) and Rafael Palmeiro (2,258). Teammate Jay Bell was sixth on the list with 1,959 games.
