PARIS (Reuters) -- Curious facts, statistics and quotes from the French Open on Sunday:

Fact of the day: History was on Andre Agassi's side in the final. Since the tournament began only one man has lost in three finals, Jarsoslav Drobny in 1946, 1948 and 1950. Agassi was runner-up in 1990 and 1991.

Stat of the day: Agassi is the first 13th-seed to win Roland Garros. Only one other 13th-seed has won a Grand Slam tournament since tennis became open to professionals in 1968 -- Pat Rafter at the 1997 U.S. Open.

Quote of the day: Andre Agassi on his enduring love affair with tennis: "It's like when a special person in your life cares so much about you, it makes it easier for you to care for them. That's how I feel... it's given me so much that I'll try to do more just because of how good this feels."
