Graf pulls out of mixed doubles with thigh strain

WIMBLEDON, England (AP) -- Steffi Graf, saving herself for Sunday's Wimbledon final against Lindsay Davenport, pulled out of her mixed doubles semifinal on Saturday with John McEnroe.

Wimbledon officials said Graf had a strained muscle in her left thigh.

After her Saturday semifinal win over Mirjana Lucic 6-7 (3-7), 6-4, 6-3), Graf said she had the thigh wrapped during the match as a "precaution." She said it hadn't hindered her play.

Graf and McEnroe were to have faced Anna Kournikova and Jonas Bjorkman, who now advance to the final.
