Spain wins first Davis Cup title
The fight for tennis' most coveted team prize came down to a pair of young stars on Sunday, with Spain's Juan Carlos Ferrero outlasting Australia's Lleyton Hewitt in four sets to clinch the 2000 Davis Cup title. The Spaniards, who had lost two previous finals to Australia in the 1960's, won the title for the first time in the 101-year history of the event.
