Brazilian captures second French Open title

In 1997, he shocked the tennis world by winning the French Open, but no one was surprised Sunday when Gustavo Kuerten captured his second title at Roland Garros. With the crowd cheering for the colorful Brazilian as they had for Frenchwoman Mary Pierce when she won the women's title Saturday, Kuerten defeated Magnus Norman in four sets for the win, and in the process took over the top spot in the ATP Champions' Race from the Swede.
