Henman marches on British favorite defeats Arazi in straight setsPosted: Saturday July 01, 2000 03:33 PM
WIMBLEDON, England (Reuters) -- "Henmania" gripped Centre Court on Saturday as Britain's Tim Henman swept aside Moroccan Hicham Arazi 6-3, 6-3, 6-3 in the third round at Wimbledon. The eighth seed destroyed the left-handed Moroccan with his trademark serve and blistering returns. Henman rarely looked in trouble and faced only one break point during the one hour 46 minute encounter. Arazi, who has never made it past the third round at Wimbledon, did not help his own cause by making a huge number of unforced errors. Henman, the hero of the British crowd, will face big-serving Australian Mark Philippoussis in the fourth round on Monday.
