PARIS (AP) -- Richard Krajicek has pulled out of the French Open because of a persistent right shoulder injury.

Tournament organizers said Friday he will be replaced in the men's singles draw by fellow Dutchman Raemon Sluiter.

Krajicek, 29, is ranked No. 44 in the world by the ATP. His best showing in Paris came in 1993, when he reached the semifinals. The French Open, the only Grand Slam event played on clay, run

s from May 28 through June 10.

Australia's Mark Philippoussis and Russia's Anna Kournikova pulled out of the event earlier this week because of injuries.
