Injury forces Brandi out

NEW YORK (Reuters) -- American Kristina Brandi
withdrew from the U.S. Open tennis championships on Monday
because of tendinitis in her right wrist, officials said.
The 24-year-old Brandi, ranked 58th, was to have played
Wynne Prakusya of Indonesia in the first round.
Brandi was replaced in the draw by 22-year-old Greta Arn.
The 113th-ranked German lost in the qualifying tournament.
