Goran Ivanisevic is finally the king of Wimbledon. AP

Croatian sensation

Three times before, Goran Ivanisevic had reached the Wimbledon final only to come away a loser. Monday, the 125th-ranked wild card outlasted Patrick Rafter in a thrilling, five-set duel played out before a roaring crowd at Centre Court. Ivanisevic is the first wild card to win a Grand Slam title.
