Remarkable repeat

Capriati downs exhausted Hingis; Johansson wins

Jennifer Capriati's dream continues, while Thomas Johansson's is just getting started. Capriati, the world's No. 1 player, rallied from a huge hole to stun Martina Hingis 4-6, 7-6 (7), 6-2 in an epic women's final Down Under. A day later, the unheralded Johansson took down heavily favored Marat Safin 3-6, 6-4, 6-4, 7-6 (4) to win his first Grand Slam title in his first major final appearance.
