Sixth sense No. 6 Agassi wins easily, will meet Gimelstob nextPosted: Tuesday August 27, 2002 12:09 AMNEW YORK, Aug 26 (Reuters) -- Two-time champion Andre Agassi smashed his way past fellow American Robby Ginepri 6-3, 6-3, 6-3 on Monday to stride into the second round of the U.S. Open. As the clock inched towards midnight, Agassi wrapped up his opening match in 84 minutes on Arthur Ashe stadium court after some customary powerful hitting from the baseline and accurate serving. "You know 9:30...it is not an easy start-time. I am used to pushing away from the dinner table at around that time," he said afterwards. "It was pretty humid tonight, and that has an aspect of work to it. You work hard to make a scoreline appear easy. I am very pleased with tonight. I stayed strong on all his big shots. "I did all that I needed to do tonight. I was pretty nervous going out there and pretty excited. "I controlled it and that is a good sign."
