Clavet is looking to win his sixth ATP Tour title Brian Bahr/Allsport

BUCHAREST, Romania (Ticker) -- Heavy rain forced the postponement of Sunday's final of the $315,000 Romanian Open clay court tennis event.

Top seed Francisco Clavet of Spain and French qualifier Arnaud Di Pasquale will take the court on Monday to decide the title.

Clavet advanced to his first ATP Tour final of the year Saturday by rallying past unseeded countryman Albert Portas, 3-6, 6-0, 6-2. Di Pasquale, competing in only his fourth ATP Tour event, ruined hopes of having a Romanian in the final as he held off Adrian Voinea, 6-3, 2-6, 7-5.

The 29-year-old Clavet has won five career ATP Tour titles, including clay court events in Mexico City and Bogota, Colombia last year. He was the oldest Spaniard to finish in the top 50 in 1997 as he finished at No. 33 in the world.

Di Pasquale, the reigning World Junior Champion, reached the second round at the U.S. Open as a qualifier two weeks ago. He has vaulted from 572nd in the world at the end of 1997 to his current ranking of No. 138. He is the youngest player in the field at age 19.

First prize is $45,000.
