SHANGHAI, China (AP) -- Top seed Goran Ivanisevic and No. 2 Michael Chang continued their winning ways Friday to advance to the semifinals of the Shanghai Open tennis tournament.

Ivanisevic defeated Denmark's Kenneth Carlsen 6-3, 7-6 (7-2) and next will play No. 6 Ramon Delgado of Paraguay in Saturday's semifinals. Delgado eliminated Australian Michael Tebbutt 6-4, 6-7 (6-8), 6-3.

Chang, the crowd favorite, had no problem ousting No. 8 Todd Woodbridge of Australia 6-2, 6-2. The American next faces fifth-seeded Paul Haarhuis of the Netherlands, a 7-6 (9-7), 7-6 (7-4) winner over Australian Mark Woodforde.

Neither Ivanisevic nor Chang has dropped a set in three rounds of play.
