French title vaults Agassi into top five

LONDON (Reuters) -- Andre Agassi has jumped 10 places to fourth in the latest ATP rankings issued on Monday following his French Open victory.

Ukrainian Andrei Medvedev, beaten by Agassi in Sunday's five-set final, moved up 70 places to 30th with Russian Yevgeny Kafelnikov retaining his No 1 spot.

Patrick Rafter of Australia has moved past Pete Sampras into second place following the American's early exit at Roland Garros.

Sampras was last ranked as low as third on February 5, 1996.
