LONDON (AP) -- Monica Seles is the latest player to pull out of Wimbledon, the one Grand Slam she has never won.

The 27-year-old lefthander, who lost in the final to Steffi Graf in 1992 but hasn't been past the quarterfinals since, has been suffering from a recurring foot injury which also forced her to withdraw from the French Open at Roland Garros last month.

Seles, a four-time Australian Open, three-time French and two-time U.S Open champion, joins former French Open titlist Mary Pierce among the absentees from the women's field. Seedings for Wimbledon were being decided and announced on Monday and the draw is on Tuesday.

Anna Kournikova is a doubtful starter having pulled out of the pre-Wimbledon grass court tournament at Eastbourne, which started Monday. The Russian has not played since late February because of stress fracture of her foot.

Although Australian and French Open champion Jennifer Capriati withdrew from the grass court tournament at Den Bosch starting Monday, it was through fatigue and she is not considered doubtful for Wimbledon.
