Morariu back in hospital SAN DIEGO, Calif. (Reuters) -- Corina Morariu, diagnosed with a rare form of leukemia in May, is back in hospital after catching a fever and an infection last week, her doubles partner Lindsay Davenport said on Friday. Morariu was in remission after she had undergone chemotherapy in late June. But Davenport, who is currently playing in the $750,000 Acura Classic in San Diego, said the 23-year-old American caught a fever last week and when she went into a Florida hospital to have it treated, she was hit by an infection. "She's having problems getting her blood cell count up," Davenport told Reuters. "She's fighting. She'll be in there for the foreseeable future." Morariu, born in Detroit, won the 1999 Wimbledon doubles crown with Davenport and has won 12 WTA Tour doubles titles in all.
