Top-seeded Ferrer advances to Swedish Open final |


STOCKHOLM (AP) -- Former champions David Ferrer of Spain and his countryman Nicolas Almagro on Saturday advanced to the Swedish Open final.
The Spaniards defeated their opponents in straight sets. The top-seeded Ferrer claimed a 6-3, 7-5 victory over Grigor Dimitrov of Bulgaria and the second-seeded Almagro ousted Jan Hajek of the Czech Republic 6-4, 6-3.
In the final Sunday the No. 5-ranked Ferrer, who reached the quarterfinals at Wimbledon and the semifinals at the French Open this year, will play Almagro, who claimed the title in 2010.
