PAUL CRANE

Biography

    Paul Crane is an anchor and reporter for CNN/Sports Illustrated. Crane joined CNN in July 1992.

    Before joining CNN/Sports Illustrated, Crane spent nine years at KDFW-TV in Dallas. While there, he served as sports director, sports anchor and reporter. He also co-hosted "Special Edition," the weekly Dallas Cowboys TV magazine on the Silverstar Network. Crane also has spent time as anchor and reporter at KAKE-TV in Wichita, Kan., and WENH-TV in Durham, N.H.

    Among his many awards, Crane received an Excellence in Sports Reporting award by the Dallas Press Club in 1989, was honored for Outstanding Achievement for a Sportscast in Texas by United Press International in 1985 and was named anchor of Best Sportscast in Texas by the Associated Press in 1983.

    Crane is a graduate of the University of New Hampshire, where he earned a degree in business administration with a minor in communications.
