Seth Davis
Biography
Seth Davis joined the staff of Sports Illustrated in July of 1995. Currently a reporter at the magazine, he primarily covers college basketball and golf. Davis also appears frequently on CNN/SI, offering commentary and analysis of the happenings on the na
tion's collegiate hardwood courts for the 24-hour sports news network.
Before arriving at SI, Davis spent nearly three years at The New Haven (Connecticut) Register, where he wrote about the NFL, NBA, college basketball and local high school sports. A 1992 graduate of Duke University with a degree in Political Science, he al
so was a sports columnist for The Chronicle, the university's daily campus newspaper.
Among the many interesting moments in his young journalistic career, Davis ranks interviewing President Bill Clinton at the 1997 U.S. Open at Congressional Country Club as his most memorable assignment.
Born in Connecticut and raised in Potomac, Maryland, Davis currently resides in New York City with his dog Bailey. An avid golfer, he also performs stand-up comedy in various clubs throughout the city.
