JOSIE KARP
Biography
Josie Karp is the Dallas bureau correspondent for CNN/Sports Illustrated. Most recently, Karp was a sports reporter for KDFW-TV, the Fox affiliate in Dallas.
From 1995 to 1998, Karp was a reporter for the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, where she covered the Dallas Cowboys. From 1994 to 1995, Karp worked at the San Diego Union-Tribune, where she covered football and basketball for the University of San Diego, including NCAA basketball tournaments. Getting an early start in sports journalism, Karp spent the summers of 1992 and 1993 interning at the Boston Globe. While there, she helped cover the Red Sox, NFL, amateur and professional golf, auto racing and the 1993 Olympic Sports Festival. During the summers of 1990 and 1991, Karp was an intern for the Baltimore Evening Sun, following the Orioles, professional soccer, NBA drafts, the Boston Marathon and the San Diego Chargers.
In 1993, Karp received the Association for Women in Sports Media scholarship.
Karp received her bachelors degree from Harvard University, where she graduated cum laude.
