MARK McKAY
Biography
  Mark McKay is a sports anchor and reporter for WORLD SPORT, the international sports show that airs live on CNN/Sports Illustrated and CNN International. He began as a sports anchor for HEADLINE NEWS in 1985 at the age of 21.
  From 1990 to 1996, McKay served as a sports anchor for several CNN programs including CNN Morning News and Sports Tonight and Sports Late Night. In 1996 and 1997, he was an Atlanta-based reporter for CNN Sports and CNN/Sports Illustrated, where he covered MLB, golf, NASCAR and the 1996 Centennial Olympic Games in Atlanta. McKay was the first to report live on the Olympic Park Bombing and he contributed to CNN's coverage, which earned a 1996 News and Documentary Emmy.
  Before joining CNN, McKay served as a sports anchor at WECT-TV in Wilmington, N.C., where he covered high school and ACC sports, as well as NASCAR.
  McKay's first job after graduating from Terry Sanford High School in Fayetteville, N.C., was as sports director, anchor and reporter in his hometown at WKFT-TV. He was named to this position at 19 years old.
