I gotta get a timeout...
Jerry Jones, after four concussions in his past 19 regular season games, I believe you owe Troy Aikman something.
You owe it to him to make the guy quit this game before his brain is permanently scrambled.
You owe him for three Super Bowl rings.
And, you owe him for performing a lot of professionalism among the tarnish you and some of your players have brought to the Star since you bought the team.
You owe him whatever he has left to collect on his contract, and the biggest retirement wing-ding you can buy.
It's the right thing, Jerry ... and the right time.
And another thing: Do me another favor, and start saving up for Emmitt Smith's celebration because he deserves one every bit as big when his time comes.

I strongly agree with Fred. Troy needs to walk away from the game with what pride and health he has. After suffering numerous concussions over the past three seasons he really needs to retire and concentrate on a different line of work. He has been a professional, a leader and Super Bowl champion and will be missed by the Dallas fans.

Jerry Jones owes Troy Aikman nothing outside his contract. If Aikman retires after this season then Jerry should NOT pay him anything beyond the contractual agreement. Fred, this is a business. The money can be put to better use by rebuilding the team.

Fred, I couldn't agree more. Being a Giants fan, I can't say I've ever even CONSIDERED rooting for the Cowboys but Aikman always carried himself with class. Please Troy, retire.
