BASEBALL TRANSACTIONS
Montreal Expos -- Purchased the contract of pitcher David Moraga from Harrisburg of the Eastern League; transferred Matt Blank from the 15-day to 60-day disabled list; placed pitcher T.J. Tucker on the 15-day disabled list with a strained right forearm.
New York Yankees -- Signed pitcher Dwight Gooden to a minor league contract.
Toronto Blue Jays -- Signed pitchers Dustin McGowan and Michael Smith and shortstop William Rivera.


BASKETBALL TRANSACTIONS
Kansas Cagerz (USBL) -- Signed guard Gerald Walker.
Oklahoma Storm (USBL) -- Signed forward Reggie Slater; activated guard Darren McClinton; released guard Steve Hart.


FOOTBALL TRANSACTIONS
Cincinnati Bengals -- Named Eric Ball director of player developent and community relations.
Toronto Argonauts (CFL) -- Acquired running back Eric Lapointe from the Hamilton Tiger Cats for linebacker Mike O'Shea; signed linebacker Calvin Tiggle.
Winnipeg Blue Bombers (CFL) -- Signed fullback Dan Pronyk and defensive end Ron Warner; announced the retirement of offensive lineman Matthew Beaudoin.


HOCKEY TRANSACTIONS
Missouri River Otters (UHL) -- Named David Rak director of media relations-broadcasting.
