BASEBALL TRANSACTIONS
Atlanta Braves -- Placed shortstop Rafael Furcal on the 15-day disabled list with a strained right hamstring; recalled infielder Mark DeRosa from Richmond of the International League (AAA).
Baltimore Orioles -- Released outfielder Derrick May and pitcher Rafael Pina; traded pitcher Al Reyes to the Los Angeles Dodgers for pitcher Alan Mills and cash.
Boston Red Sox -- Activated pitcher Rod Beck off the 15-day disabled list; optioned pitcher Rob Stanifer to Pawtucket of the International League.
Cleveland Indians -- Placed pitcher Tom Martin on the 15-day disabled list with shoulder tendinitis; recalled pitcher Willie Martinez from Buffalo of the International League (AAA); signed infielder Corey Smith, pitcher Derek Thompson and first baseman Sean Swedlow.
Detroit Tigers -- Announced that Dave Anderson will resign as manager of Toledo of the International League (AAA), effective June 23, to become baseball coach at the University of Memphis.
Houston Astros -- Signed pitchers Ralph Hicks, Craig Petulla and Damon Yee and outfielders Eric Lee and Paul Lockhart.
Los Angeles Dodgers -- Recalled pitcher Orel Hershiser from San Bernardino of the California League (A); optioned pitcher Eric Gagne to Albuquerque of the Pacific Coast League (AAA); named Sergio del Prado director of sales and marketing.
Milwaukee Brewers -- Acquired pitcher Matt Parker and catcher Eliezer Alfonzo from the St. Louis Cardinals to complete an earlier trade.
New York Mets -- Signed pitchers Chad Bowen, Michael Cox, Chad Elliott and David Byard, shortstop Anthony Coyne, first baseman John Raffo and third baseman Timothy Flannigan.
Pittsburgh Pirates -- Placed outfielder Adrian Brown on the 15-day disabled list with a strained left hamstring; recalled outfielder Emil Brown from Nashville of the Pacific Coast League (AAA).
St. Louis Cardinals -- Signed outfielder Shaun Boyd.
Rochester Red Wings (International League/AAA) -- Activated pitcher Josh Towers from the disabled list.
Canton Crocodiles (Frontier League/independent) -- Signed pitcher Brian Zima.

Phoenix Suns -- Re-signed assistant coaches Frank Johnson and Phil Weber; named Jim Boylan assistant coach.
Toronto Raptors -- Fired coach Butch Carter.
Miami Sol (WNBA) -- Waived forward Tanja Kostic; added forward Kristen Rasmussen.
Kansas Cagerz (USBL) -- Placed forward Desmond Fegusson on the inactive list; signed guard Steve Hart.


FOOTBALL TRANSACTIONS
Detroit Lions -- Signed free agent quarterback Stoney Case to a one-year contract.
Miami Dolphins -- Re-signed guard Kevin Donnalley to a one-year contract, signed free agent cornerback Terrance Shaw, who had been with the San Diego Chargers, to a one-year contract.
San Diego Chargers -- Reached agreement on a one-year contract with free agent tackle Ben Coleman, who had been with the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Seattle Seahawks -- Signed linebacker Marcus Bell.
Tennessee Titans -- Agreed to a three-year contract extension with coach Jeff Fisher.
Montreal Alouettes (CFL) -- Released cornerback Toyas Rainey and wide receiver Chris Phillon; suspended defensive back Keith Crawford, wide receiver Eric Smith and offensive tackle Robert Sampson.


HOCKEY TRANSACTIONS
Mighty Ducks of Anaheim -- Agreed to terms with center Jarrett Smith on a multi-year contract.
Minnesota Wild -- Signed defenseman Nick Naumenko.
Roanoke Express (ECHL) -- Re-signed defenseman Travis Smith.
Flint Generals (UHL) -- Announced that Doug Shedden will not return as director of hockey operations-coach for the 2000-01 season.
Muskegon Fury (UHL) -- Announced the resignation of Rich Kromm as director of hockey operations-coach.
Prince Albert Raiders (WHL) -- Announced coach Kevin McClelland has resigned.


SOCCER TRANSACTIONS
Los Angeles Galaxy (MLS) -- Announced the resignation of vice president of business operations Sergio del Prado to accept a position as director of sales and marketing for the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Bucknell -- Named Tim Wittman interim wrestling coach and Kevin Jamieson women's golf coach.
Memphis -- Named Dave Anderson baseball coach.
Mercer -- Announced the resignation of tennis coach Alex Khoury.
New Mexico State -- Named Elmer Chavez assistant men's basketball coach.
South Carolina -- Announced the retirement of associate athletic director Harold White.
Southern Mississippi -- Softball coach Lu Harris announced her resignation to accept the same job at the University of Georgia.
Texas A&M-Corpus Christi -- Named John Schmidt assistant volleyball coach.
Texas Lutheran -- Named Brian Surface tennis coach.
