Tampa Bay Devil Rays -- Placed third baseman Vinny Castilla on the 15-day disabled list with lower back inflammation; recalled infielder Bobby Smith from Durham of the International League (AAA). Texas Rangers -- Transferred pitcher Danny Kolb from the 15-day to the 60-day disabled list; assigned outfielder Jason McDonald to Oklahoma of the Pacific Coast League (AAA); claimed pitcher Scott Randall off waivers from the Minnesota Twins and assigned him to Oklahoma.
