BASEBALL TRANSACTIONS
Boston Red Sox -- Placed pitcher Jeff Fassero on the 15-day disabled list with a tired arm; placed outfielder Troy O'Leary on the 15-day disabled list due to personal reasons; activated pitcher Bryce Florie from the 15-day disabled list; recalled outfielder Curtis Pride and pitcher Rob Stanifer from Pawtucket of the International League (AAA); optioned infielder Donnie Sadler to Pawtucket.
Chicago Cubs -- Signed pitcher Aaron Krawiec and catcher Ryan Jorgenson.
Oakland Athletics -- Signed the following draft picks: pitchers Kyle Crowell, Louis McCall, Mathew O'Brien, Dan Jackson, Stephen Fischer, Tyler Gilpatrick and Rich Rodarmel; shortstop Freddie Bynum; catcher John Suomi; outfielders Matt Bowser and Joe Cirone; signed second baseman Joss Hoffpauir.
Pittsburgh Pirates -- Placed outfielder Emil Brown on the 15-day disabled list following urological surgery; recalled infielder Aramis Ramirez from Nashville of Pacific Coast League (AAA).
San Diego Padres -- Optioned pitcher Rodrigo Lopez to Las Vegas of the Pacific Coast League (AAA); purchased the contract of pitcher Brian Tollberg from Las Vegas.

Miami Dolphins -- Signed wide receiver Leslie Shepherd to a one-year contract.
Seattle Seahawks -- Signed free agent linebacker George Koonce, who had been with the Green Bay Packers, and guard Donta Kendrick; released guard Chris Gilbert.
CFL -- Re-elected John Tory as chairman and acting commissioner.
B.C. Lions (CFL) -- Released defensive lineman Dunstan Anderson, linebacker Reggie Jackson, defensive backs Tabari Wallace and Dietrich Moore, wide receivers Ben Clampitt and Chris Pritchett and running back Philip Moore.
Hamilton Tiger-Cats (CFL) -- Released defensive backs Larry Moore and Jocelyn Borgella, defensive tackle Doug Madoski, linebackers Phillip Thompson and Olivier Lefebvre, defensive lineman Jean-Daniel Roy and offensive linemen Doug Van Moorsel and Brad Chalmers.

Minnesota Wild -- Named Jacques Lemaire coach.
Vancouver Canucks -- Entered into a two-year affiliation agreement with the Kansas City Blades of the International Hockey League.
Pensacola Ice Pilots (ECHL) -- Announced the coach Al Pedersen will not return for the 2000-01 season.
Tucson Scorch (WPHL) -- Named Jim Burton coach and director of hockey operations.


COLLEGE TRANSACTIONS
Alma College -- Named Aaron Brock admissions athletic coordinator and assistant football coach.
Curry -- Named Dan Morgan athletic trainer.
Duke -- Announced that Erica Biro will not return to the women's tennis team.
Missouri-Kansas City -- Named Dean Demopoulos men's basketball coach.
Northeastern -- Announced that women's basketball coach Joy Malchodi will assume an administrative position within the athletic department, effective July 1.
Southwest Texas -- Named Donyale Canada coordinator of women's basketball operations.
Youngstown State -- Named Andy Johnston men's assistant basketball coach.
