BASEBALL TRANSACTIONS
Major League Baseball -- Announced it has reduced the suspension of Seattle Mariners' infielder Mark McLemore, for an on-field altercation that took place on Saturday May 20, from five games to four.
Baltimore Orioles -- Activated pitcher Calvin Maduro from the 15-day disabled list; optioned pitcher Gabe Molina to Rochester of the International League (AAA).
Boston Red Sox -- Recalled pitcher Tim Young from Pawtucket of the International League (AAA).
Detroit Tigers -- Purchased the contract of pitcher Steve Sparks from Toledo of the International League (AAA); designated pitcher Allen McDill for assignment.
Houston Astros -- Placed pitcher Billy Wagner on the 15-day disabled list with a torn flexor tendon in his left elbow; recalled pitcher Jose Cabrera from New Orleans of the Pacific Coast League (AAA).
Los Angeles Dodgers -- Traded infielder Jose Vizcaino to the New York Yankees for catcher Jim Leyritz and cash.
Milwaukee Brewers -- Signed pitcher Heath McMurray.
New York Mets -- Signed shortstop Chris Basak, catcher John Wilson, pitcher Kevin Bateon and outfielder Harley Douglas.
Toronto Blue Jays -- Signed the following draft picks: second baseman Dominic Rich, outfielder Rich Thompson and third baseman Aaron Sisk.
Shreveport Captains (Texas League/AA) -- Recalled outfielder Chad Faircloth and infielder John Summers from San Jose of the California League (A).
San Jose Giants (California League/A) -- Activated infielder Alejandro Fajardo.


BASKETBALL TRANSACTIONS
Chicago Bulls -- Waived center Will Perdue.
Golden State Warriors -- Signed assistant coaches Brian Winters, Phil Hubbard, Mark Osowski and Clifford Ray; named Kevin Terry executive director of ticket sales and Victor Pelt director or corporate sales.
New Jersey Nets -- Announced the resignation of trainer Ted Arzonico.
Phoenix Mercury (WNBA) -- Placed center Rankica Sarenac on the injured list with tendinitis in her right foot; waived forward Mactabene Amachree; signed guard Dena Head.
Fargo-Moorhead Beez (IBA) -- Named Keetha Lee director of operations for the 2000-01 season.
Dodge City Legend (USBL) -- Activated forward Marshall Phillips.
Long Island Surf (USBL) -- Activated guards Acosta Kittles and Lamar Parker; placed guard-forward Lloyd Daniels and forward Troy Bowers on the injured list.


FOOTBALL TRANSACTIONS
NFL -- Suspended Tennessee Titans defensive tackle Josh Evans for the 2000 season for violating the league's substance abuse policy.
Green Bay Packers -- Signed linebacker Na'il Diggs.
Kansas City Chiefs -- Claimed defensive end Lamanzer Williams off waivers from the Seattle Seahawks; released receiver Joe Perez.
New Orleans Saints -- Signed fullbacl Kevin Houser, their seventh-round pick in the 2000 draft.


HOCKEY TRANSACTIONS
NHL -- Announced the Board of Governors approved the proposed sales of the Colorado Avalanche, New Jersey Devils and New York Islanders.
Atlanta Thrashers -- Named Dan Marr chief scout, Marcel Comeau full-time scout and Pat Carmichael as a part-time scout.
Vancouver Canucks -- Entered into a two-year affiliation agreement with the Kansas City Blades of the International Hockey League.
Border City Bandits (UHL) -- Named Peter South coach and director of player personnel.


OLYMPICS TRANSACTIONS
USA Hockey -- Named Moe Mantha associate development coach for the U.S. National Under-17 Team.
