BASEBALL TRANSACTIONS
Anaheim Angels -- Announced the resignation of Bob Wagner, vice president of advertising sales and broadcasting, to accept a position with the National Hot Rod Association.
Boston Red Sox -- Assigned infielder Andy Sheets outright to Pawtucket of the International League (AAA).
Florida Marlins -- Signed pitcher Denny Bautista.
Houston Astros -- Placed pitcher Billy Wagner on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to Sunday, with a partial tear of the flexor tendon in his left elbow; recalled pitcher Jose Cabrera from New Orleans of the Pacific Coast League (AAA).
Minnesota Twins -- Extended their contract with WCCO-AM Radio 830 through 2003.
St. Louis Cardinals -- Placed second baseman Fernando Vina on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to Saturday, with a strained right hamstring; activated pitcher Mike James from the 15-day disabled list.
Texas Rangers -- Placed pitcher Darren Oliver on the 15-day disabled list due to weakness in his left shoulder.
Midwest League (A) -- Extended the contract of president George Spelius four years.
Schaumburg Flyers (Northern League/Independent) -- Traded outfielder Chuck Koone to the Sioux Falls Canaries for future considerations; signed outfielder-first baseman Derek Lee and catcher Chris Finnegan.


BASKETBALL TRANSACTIONS
Toronto Raptors -- Named Lenny Wilkens coach.
Indiana Fever (WNBA) -- Activated center Donna Harrington and forward Texlin Quinney from injured reserve; placed center Alessandra Santos de Oliveira on injured reserve with right Achilles tendinitis; placed guard Chantel Tremitiere on injured reserve with a left ankle sprain.
Miami Sol (WNBA) -- Activated center-forward Sharon Manning; placed guard Umeki Webb on the injured list with a foot injury.
New Jersey ShoreCats (USBL) -- Activated forward Rahshon Turner; placed guard Ishua Benjamin on the inactive list.
Pennsylvania ValleyDawgs (USBL) -- Activated guard Donnie Carr; signed forward Luther Clay.


FOOTBALL TRANSACTIONS
Cincinnati Bengals -- Waived quarterback Eric Kressler.
Green Bay Packers -- Signed tackle Mark Tauscher and wide receiver Charles Lee, their seventh-round picks in the 2000 draft, to multi-year contracts; claimed cornerback Evan Howell off waivers from the New England Patriots.
Miami Dolphins -- Signed cornerback Sam Madison to a seven-year contract extension through 2007; signed free agent tackle Keno Hills to a one-year contract.
San Diego Chargers -- Signed linebacker Shannon Taylor, a sixth-round draft pick, to a two-year contract.
Edmonton Eskimos (CFL) -- Signed linebacker Willie Pless.
Hamilton Tiger-Cats (CFL) -- Released the following players: defensive backs Larry Moore and Jocelyn Borgella, defensive tackle Doug Madoski, linebackers Phillip Thompson and Olivier Lefebvre, defensive lineman Jean-Daniel Roy and offensive linemen Doug Van Moorsel and Brad Chalmers.
Montreal Alouettes (CFL) -- Released cornerback Michael Jordan, defensive back Joe Caviglia, linebacker Ahmani Johnson and fullback Chuck Crabbe; added offensive linemen Colin Westrich and Remele Penick to the roster.

Edmonton Oilers -- Named Scott Howson assistant general manager.
Pittsburgh Penguins -- Promoted Ivan Hlinka to coach; named Joe Mullen an assistant coach and retained Rick Kehoe as an assistant.
Vancouver Canucks -- Named John Rizzardini senior vice president of sales and marketing, effective July 5.
Cincinnati Cyclones (IHL) -- Named Tom O'Gorman director of corporate sales.
Richmond Renegades (ECHL) -- Signed left wing Rod Taylor.
Monroe Moccasins (WCHL) -- Signed defenseman Jason Smith.
New Mexico Scorpions (WCHL) -- Signed left wing Josh Dobbyn.
