BASEBALL TRANSACTIONS
Anaheim Angels -- Signed pitcher Bryan Ward and assigned him to Edmonton of the Pacific Coast League (AAA); claimed second baseman David Eckstein off waivers from the Boston Red Sox.
Boston Red Sox -- Activated infielder Jose Offerman from the 15-day disabled list; designated third baseman Ed Sprague for assignment.
Houston Astros -- Activated catcher Mitch Meluskey from the 15-day disabled list; optioned catcher Raul Chavez to New Orleans of the Pacific Coast League (AAA).
Kansas City Royals -- Named Fred White director of broadcast services and Royals alumni.
Montreal Expos -- Signed first baseman Lee Stevens to a two-year contract extension through the 2002 season.
New York Mets -- Sent infielder Matt Franco outright to Norfolk of the International League (AAA).
Oakland Athletics -- Signed pitcher Tim Hudson to a four-year contract extension through the 2004 season.
Texas Rangers -- Recalled pitcher Brian Sikorski from Oklahoma City of the Pacific Coast League (AAA); optioned pitcher Jonathan Johnson to Oklahoma City.


BASKETBALL TRANSACTIONS
Boston Celtics -- Acquired guard Robert Pack and forward John "Hot Rod" Williams from the Dallas Mavericks and a first-round pick in 2001 from the Utah Jazz and sent forward Danny Fortson to the Golden State Warriors and guard Dana Barros to Dallas in a four-team trade.
Chicago Bulls -- Signed center Dragan Tarlac.
Dallas Mavericks -- Acquired guards Howard Eisley from the Utah Jazz, Dana Barros from the Boston Celtics and forward Bill Curley from the Golden State Warriors and sent center Bruno Sundov to Utah and guard Robert Pack, forward John "Hot Rod" Williams and cash to Boston in a four-team trade.
Golden State Warriors -- Acquired forwards Danny Fortson from the Boston Celtics and Adam Keefe from the Utah Jazz and sent forward Donyell Marshall to Utah and Bill Curley to the Dallas Mavericks in a four-team trade.
Miami Heat -- Signed guard Eddie House.
Philadelphia 76ers -- Re-signed free agent forward Toni Kukoc; signed free agent guard Jermaine Jackson.
Sacramento Kings -- Re-signed guard-forward Predrag Stojakovic to a multi-year contract extension.
Seattle SuperSonics -- Re-signed center Jelani McCoy to a one-year contract.
Utah Jazz -- Acquired forward Donyell Marshall from the Golden State Warriors and center Bruno Sundov from the Dallas Mavericks and sent guard Howard Eisley to Dallas, forward Adam Keefe to Golden State and a first-round pick in the 2001 draft to Boston.


FOOTBALL TRANSACTIONS
Jacksonville Jaguars -- Acquired guard Brenden Stai from the Kansas City Chiefs for an undisclosed 2001 draft pick.
Miami Dolphins -- Waived quarterback Jim Druckenmiller and defensive tackle Antoine Simpson; awarded tight end Damian Vaughn off waivers from the Cincinnati Bengals.
New York Jets -- Signed wide receiver Vincent Brisby.


HOCKEY TRANSACTIONS
Minnesota Wild -- Signed defenseman Lubomir Sekeras.
Phoenix Coyotes -- Signed left wing Eric Healey to a one-year contract; announced the resignation of assistant coach Wayne Fleming.
Pittsburgh Penguins -- Signed right wing Alexei Morozov.
Toronto Maple Leafs -- Signed unrestricted free agent defenseman Dave Manson, who had been with the Dallas Stars.
Washington Capitals -- Signed defenseman Ken Klee to a three-year contract.
Adirondack IceHawks (UHL) -- Signed goaltender Chad Ford.
Fresno Falcons (WCHL) -- Signed center Glen Gulutzan and left wing Mike Mathers.
El Paso Buzzards (WPHL) -- Signed forward Troy Linna and defenseman Patrick Charbonneau.


COLLEGE TRANSACTIONS
Brockport -- Named Brian Dickinson women's golf coach.
Drexel -- Named Michael Dent coordinator of athletic equipment operations and Joseph Clayborne assistant athletic trainer.
Northern Iowa -- Named Sara Hayes softball coach.
Pacific -- Named Steve Geller assistant director of athletic media relations.
Rhode Island -- Named Billy Reid men's assistant basketball coach.
Texas A&M -- Announced the retirement of men's golf coach Bob Ellis at the end of the 2000-01 season.
Wofford -- Named Craig Appleby assistant men's soccer coach and Todd Whitehead assistant baseball coach.
