Chicago Cubs -- Extended spring training invitations to the following 13 non-roster players: infielders Angel Echevarria, Bobby Hill, Luis Ordaz ande Kevin Orie; outfielders Kimera Bartee and Jayson Bass; catchers Ryan Jorgensen, Mike Mahoney and Adam Melhuse and pitchers Joe Borowski, Will Cunnane, Ben Ford and Mark Watson. Chicago White Sox -- Acquired pitcher Corey Lee from the Texas Rangers for the player to be named later in a deal that sent Herbert Perry to Texas on November 27. Cleveland Indians -- Signed infielder Ricky Gutierrez to a three-year contract with a club option for the 2005 season; signed outfielder Matt Lawton to a four-year contract. New York Yankees -- Signed free agent outfielder Rondell White, who had been with the Chicago Cubs, to a two-year contract.
