Chicago White Sox -- Signed infielder Tony Graffanino to a two-year contract.
Detroit Tigers -- Named Don Miers director of Lakeland operations; signed pitcher Juan Acevedo to a minor league contract and invited him to spring training; claimed outfielder Endy Chavez off waivers from the Kansas City Royals.
Milwaukee Brewers -- Signed pitcher Jeff D'Amico to a one-year contract; declined to tender a contract offer to pitcher Jimmy Haynes, making him a free agent.
Philadelphia Phillies -- Signed infielder Tomas Perez to a one-year contract worth $475,000, plus performance bonuses.
St. Louis Cardinals -- Named Mark DeJohn manager of New Haven of the Eastern League (AA); named Steve Balboni hitting instructor of New Haven, Tommy Gregg hitting instructor of Memphis of the Pacific Coast League (AAA) and Tony Diggs hitting instructor of Peoria of the Midwest League (A); named Bob Humphreys minor league hitting coordinator James Spinale trainer of New Jersey of the New York-Penn League (A).
Indianapolis Indians (International League/AAA) -- Signed outfielders Ryan Thompson and Derrick Gibson, pitchers Derrin Ebert, Andrew Lorraine, Jesus Pena, Jeff Sparks and Everett Stull and first baseman Jon Zuber.
Greenville Braves (Carolina League/A) -- Named Brian Snitker manager.

Chicago Bulls -- Activated forward Ron Artest from the injured list; placed guard A.J. Guyton on the injured list with a left hamstring strain.
Los Angeles Clippers -- Signed guard Eldridge Recasner; placed forward Harold Jamison on the injured list.
Kansas City Knights (ABA) -- Signed guard Maurice Carter; traded guard Tony Smith to the Phoenix Eclipse for guard Lazarus Sims.
