Cleveland Indians -- Purchased the contract of infielder Earl Snyder from Buffalo of the International League (AAA); designated outfielder Wil Cordero for assignment. Detroit Tigers -- Purcahsed the contract of pitcher Julio Santana from Toledo of the International League (AAA); activated infielder Damian Jackson from the 15-day disabled list; placed catcher Mitch Meluskey on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to April 21, with lower back pain; designated pitcher Matt Perisho for assignment; optioned outfielder Craig Monroe to Toledo; recalled catcher Brandon Inge from Toledo. San Francisco Giants -- Traded outfielder Calvin Murray to the Texas Rangers for cash considerations. BASKETBALL TRANSACTIONS New York Liberty--- Traded G Andrea Nagy to Sacramento for a second-round draft choice in 2003. FOOTBALL TRANSACTIONS Denver Broncos -- Reached agreement on contracts the following players: wide receiver Charlie Adams, fullback Will Bartholomew, linebacker Trev Faulk, running back Paris Gaines, tight end Jared Peck, center Jason Soukanec, linebacker Jashon Sykes and cornerback Lenny Walls. Minnesota Vikings -- Signed the following rookie free agents: running back Jeremy Allen, wide receivers Atrews Bell, Kelly Campbell and Devin Lewis, fullback Carlos Daniels, kick returner Nick Davis, kicker Todd France, quarterback Shaun Hill, punter Nick Murphy and safeties Jack Brewer and Kyries Hebert. Chicago Blackhawks -- Recalled goaltender Michael Leighton, defensemen Kent Huskins, Steve McCarthy and Dmitri Tolkunov, centers Peter White and Matt Henderson and Ajay Baines, right wing Mike Peluso and left wings Casey Hankinson and Igor Radulov from Norfolk of the American Hockey League. Columbus Blue Jackets -- Signed left wing Jody Shelley to a multi-year contract. Montreal Canadiens -- Signed forwards Jozef Balej and Tomas Plekanec to three-year contracts.
