Cleveland Indians - Named Paddy Jarit director of medical services. Colorado Rockies - Recalled pitcher Cory Vance from Carolina of the Southern League (AA). Los Angeles Dodgers - Acquired pitcher Jason Frasor from the Detroit Tigers to complete the July 27 trade involving Hiram Bocachica. Pittsburgh Pirates - Extended their player development contract with Lynchburg of the Carolina League (A) through the 2006 season. San Diego Padres -- Extended their player development contract with Lake Elsimore of the California League (A) through the 2006 season. Portland Seadogs (Eastern League) -- Signed a player development contract with the Boston Red Sox through the 2004 season.
