BASEBALL TRANSACTIONS
MLB - Reduced the suspension of Tampa Bay Devil Rays pitcher Lance Carter from five games to three games.
Atlanta Braves - Placed third baseman Chipper Jones on the 15-day disabled list with a left foot injury; recalled third baseman Andy Marte from Richmond of the International League (AAA).
Colorado Rockies - Placed shortstop Clint Barmes on the 60-day disabled list with a fractured left clavicle and catcher Todd Greene on the 15-day disabled list with a strained right hamstring; purchased the contracts of catcher Danny Ardoin and infielder Tim Olson from Colorado Springs of the Pacific Coast League (AAA); designated pitcher Randy Williams for assignment.
Los Angeles Dodgers - Placed pitcher Wilson Alvarez on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to Tuesday, with left shoulder impingement; recalled pitcher Franquelis Osoria from Las Vegas of the Pacific Coast League (AAA).
Milwaukee Brewers - Designated pitcher Gary Glover for assignment; recalled catcher Julio Mosquera from Nashville of the Pacific Coast League (AAA).
