Oakland Athletics -- Placed catcher George Williams on the 15-day disabled list with a strained right bicep; optioned pitcher Tim Kubinski to Edmonton of the Pacific Coast League (AAA); recalled catcher Izzy Molina and outfielder Ernie Young from Edmonton. Seattle Mariners -- Optioned pitcher Derek Lowe to Tacoma of the Pacific Coast League (AAA). Cedar Rapids Kernels (Midwest League/A) -- Activated pitcher Danny Greene from the disabled list.
