BASEBALL

Baltimore Orioles -- Activated infielder Delino DeShields off the 15-day disabled list; optioned infielder Jesse Garcia and pitcher Doug Johns to Rochester of the International League (AAA); recalled pitcher Doug Linton from Rochester.

Milwaukee Brewers -- Optioned shortstop Lou Collier to Louisville of the Pacific Coast League (AAA); recalled pitcher Al Reyes from Louisville.

Seattle Mariners -- Placed infielder Carlos Guillen on the 15-day disabled list with a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee; recalled infielder Giomar Guevara from Tacoma of the Pacific Coast League (AAA); signed free agent infielder Domingo Cedeno; optioned pitcher Eric Weaver to Tacoma.

Rockford Reds (Midwest League/A) -- Announced that pitcher Bo Donaldson has replaced pitcher Jack Koch on the roster.

BASKETBALL

Detroit Pistons -- Placed forward Korleone Young on the injured list with back spasms; activated forward Charles O'Bannon from the injured list.

HOCKEY

Los Angeles Kings -- Recalled goaltender Manny Legace and defenseman Jaroslav Modry from Long Beach of the International Hockey League.

COLLEGE

Texas -- Named Rob Lanier assistant men's basketball coach.
