Cincinnati Reds -- Acquired pitcher Mark Wohlers from the Atlanta Braves for pitcher John Hudek. Detroit Tigers -- Acquired pitchers Dave Mlicki and Mel Rojas and cash from the Los Angeles Dodgers for minor league pitchers Rick Roberts, Robinson Checo and Apostol Garcia. Florida Marlins -- Accepted pitcher Eric Ludwick from the Toronto Blue Jays and assigned him outright to Calgary of the Pacific Coast League (AAA). Los Angeles Dodgers -- Activated pitcher Antonio Osuna from the 15-day disabled list. New York Mets -- Optioned outfielder Terrence Long to Norfolk of the International League (AAA); recalled catcher Vance Wilson from Norfolk. Pittsburgh Pirates -- Placed pitcher Francisco Cordova on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to April 11, with inflammation of his right shoulder; purchased the contract of pitcher Jim Dougherty from Nasvhille of the Pacific Coast League (AAA); transferred pitcher Jeff Tabaka from the 15-day to the 60-day disabled list. San Diego Padres -- Activated utility man Phil Nevin from the 15-day disabled list; designated infielder Carlos Garcia for assignment. Seattle Mariners -- Reassigned pitcher Robert Luce to Tacoma of the Pacific Coast League (AAA). Tampa Bay Devil Rays -- Re-assigned pitcher Norm Charlton from extended spring training to Durham of the International League (AAA); activated outfielder Rich Butler from the 15-day disabled list and optioned him to Durham. Toronto Blue Jays -- Placed pitcher Joey Hamilton on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to April 14, with a right shoulder impingement; recalled pitcher Nerio Rodriguez from Syracuse of the International League. New Haven Ravens (Eastern League/AA) -- Activated pitcher Jason Brosnan from the disabled list. Kane County Cougars (Midwest League/A) -- Placed outfielder Francisco Ferrand on the disabled list with an injured shoulder; placed outfielder Chris Aguila on the active roster. Sioux Falls Canaries (Northern League/Independent) -- Signed the following players to one-year contracts: pitchers Rich Hyde and Tom Buckman, outfielders Charles Peterson and Danny Lewis, infielders Eric Fisher and Craig Dour, shortstop Edgar Tovar and catchers Gregg Donohue and Jason Imrisek.
