Houston Astros -- Promoted Duone Byars to advertising manager and Kelly Makimaa to marketing manager; named Todd Fedewa communications manager. Kansas City Royals -- Recalled pitcher Terry Mathews from Omaha of the Pacific Coast League (AAA); outrighted pitcher Brian Barber to Omaha.
