Baltimore Orioles -- Acquired pitcher Al Reyes from the Milwaukee Brewers to complete a trade from July 16; optioned third baseman Ryan Minor to Rochester of the International League.

Boston Red Sox -- Acquired pitcher Julio Santana from the Tampa Bay Devil Rays for a player to be named later.

Chicago Cubs -- Activated pitcher Rod Beck from the 15-day disabled list; optioned pitcher Steve Rain to Iowa of the Pacific Coast League (AAA).

Minnesota Twins -- Optioned pitcher Mike Lincoln to Salt Lake of the Pacific Coast League (AAA) and recalled pitcher Mark Redman from Salt Lake.

Philadelphia Phillies -- Recalled catcher Bobby Estalella from Scranton/Wilkes-Barre of the International League (AAA); optioned pitcher Joe Grahe to Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.

Pittsburgh Pirates -- Signed pitcher Patrick O'Brien.
