Cleveland Indians -- Signed pitcher Jim Poole to a minor league contract.

Detroit Tigers -- Acquired outfielder Jerry Amador from the Seattle Mariners as the second player to be named in a deal for outfielder Brian Hunter on April 28.

Florida Marlins -- Released catcher Jorge Fabregas.

San Diego Padres -- Purchased the contract of pitcher Buddy Carlyle; recalled pitcher Heath Murray from Las Vegas of the Pacific Coast League (AAA); optioned infielder Ed Giovanola and pitcher Stan Spencer to Las Vegas.

Charleston Alley Cats (South Atlantic League/A) -- Placed infielder Corey Hart on the disabled list.
