BASEBALL

Los Angeles Dodgers -- Renewed their working agreement with Albuquerque of the Pacific Coast League (AAA) through the 2000 season.

Philadelphia Phillies -- Promoted first baseman Pat Burrell, infielder Larry Huff and pitcher Thomas Jacquez from Reading of the Eastern League (AA) to Scranton/Wilkes-Barre of the International League (AAA).

FOOTBALL

Carolina Panthers -- Waived linebackers Horace Cook and Sam Manuel, defensive tackles Chartric Darby and Jerome Davis, offensive tackle Jeffrey Flowe, receiver Terry Guess, guard Michael Lies, defensive end Andre Slappery and running back Reggie Shufford; placed defensive back Tony Booth, defensive tackle Robert Daniel and receiver Jim Turner on injured reserve.

HOCKEY

Muskegon Fury (United Hockey League) -- Re-signed coach Rich Kromm.
