Florida Marlins -- Recalled pitcher Jesus Sanchez from Calgary of the Pacific Coast League (AAA); assigned pitcher Luis Arroyo to Calgary.

New York Mets -- Activated pitchers John Franco and Rick Reed from the 15-day disabled list.

Oakland Athletics -- Recalled pitcher Chad Harville from Vancouver of the Pacific Coast League (AAA).

Tampa Bay Devil Rays -- Recalled outfielder Randy Winn from Durham of the International League (AAA); signed pitchers Alex Santos and Jeff Ridgeway.

Miami Dolphins -- Signed tackle Richmond Webb to a one-year contract; traded defensive tackle Barron Tanner to the Washington Redskins for an undisclosed draft choice; waived linebacker Jimmy Clements, guard Derrick LeVake, fullback Jamie Reader and tackles Barry Stokes and Thomas Rayam.

Mighty Ducks of Anaheim -- Re-signed restricted free agent defenseman Ruslan Salei to a three-year contract; agreed to terms with goaltender Tom Askey on a one-year contract with a one-year club option.

Calgary Flames -- Acquired goaltender Grant Fuhr from the St. Louis Blues for a third-round pick in the 2000 draft.

Chicago Blackhawks -- Assigned forwards Rob Marra and Jason Hamilton to Cleveland of the International Hockey League.

St. Louis Blues -- Re-signed defenseman Rory Fitzpatrick.

San Jose Sharks -- Assigned left wing Garrett Burnett and center Peter Roed to Kentucky of the American Hockey League; returned center Eric Betournay to his junior team; released left wing Aniket Dhadphale, center Jason Williams, right wing Sean McAslan and left wing Chris Lipsett.

South Carolina Stingrays (ECHL) -- Signed forward Rob Concannon.
