The NBA Slam Dunk Contest Returns as Highlight of NBA All-Star Weekend

After a three-year hiatus, the NBA.Com Slam Dunk competition returns to highlight TNT's NBA ALL-STAR SATURDAY on Saturday, Feb. 12, at 8 p.m. (ET). ALL-STAR SATURDAY also includes the AT&T Shootout, Sony 2Ball and the Million Dollar Shot contest. Rounding out TNT's All-Star activities on Saturday is the NBA TeamUp Celebration, at 12 p.m. (ET), and the Schick Rookie Challenge, at 4 p.m. (ET). TNT's NBA All-Star Weekend coverage begins on Friday at 10 p.m. (ET) with NBA All-Star Friday, a one-hour preview of the weekend's festivities featuring all-star and celebrity interviews.

NBA All-Star Friday, Friday, 10 p.m. (ET)

Hosts: Ernie Johnson, Kenny Smith and Marv Albert

NBA TeamUp Celebration Saturday, 12 p.m. (ET)

A one-of-a-kind special featuring NBA All-Stars and some of today's hottest celebrities from the worlds of music, film and television, as they recognize the dedication and commitment of 200,000 teens from around the country who have volunteered hours of community service through the NBA TeamUp program.

Schick Rookie Challenge Saturday, 4 p.m. (ET)

Paul Pierce and Jason Williams will lead the rookie class of '98 as they take on Lamar Odom, Steve Francis and the rookies of '99. NBA legend Bill Russell will coach the class of '98, while Al Attles calls the play for the class of '99. The game will be played in two 15-minute halves. Commentators: Dick Stockton, Hubie Brown, reporters Craig Sager and Reggie Theus

NBA.Com Slam Dunk Saturday, 8 p.m. (ET)

The field will be comprised of some of the best young talent in the game today. Scheduled to appear: Vince Carter, Toronto Raptors; Tracy McGrady, Toronto Raptors; Steve Francis, Houston Rockets; Jerry Stackhouse, Detroit Pistons; Larry Hughes, Philadelphia 76ers; Antawn Jamison, Golden State Warriors. Commentators: Marv Albert, Mike Fratello, Danny Ainge, reporters Craig Sager, Reggie Theus and Cheryl Miller

AT&T Shootout (Three Point Competition) Saturday, 8 p.m. (ET)

Jazz guard and defending champion Jeff Hornacek will look to become the fourth two-time winner of the AT&T Shootout when he faces a field of long-range sharpshooters. Scheduled to appear: Ray Allen, Milwaukee Bucks; Mike Bibby, Vancouver Grizzlies; Hubert Davis, Dallas Mavericks; Jeff Hornacek, Utah Jazz; Allen Iverson, Philadelphia 76ers; Dirk Nowitzki, Dallas Mavericks; Terry Porter, San Antonio Spurs; Bob Sura, Cleveland Cavaliers. Commentators: Marv Albert, Mike Fratello, Danny Ainge, reporters Craig Sager, Reggie Theus and Cheryl Miller

Sony All-Star 2ball Saturday, 8 p.m. (ET)

A competition between two-player teams composed of one NBA and one WNBA player, this one-minute competition involves basic basketball skills such as shooting, rebounding, dribbling and passing, and requires players to shoot from seven specific locations on the court. It is a half-court game where teams score points based on the difficulty of each shot made. Each team represents a NBA/WNBA city. Scheduled to appear: Detroit -- Grant Hill and Jennifer Azzi; Houston -- Steve Francis and Cynthia Cooper; Los Angeles -- Derek Fisher and Lisa Leslie; New York -- Allan Houston and Becky Hammon; Phoenix -- Jason Kidd and Jennifer Gillom; Sacramento -- Jason Williams and Yolanda Griffith; Utah -- Jeff Hornacek and Natalie Williams; Washington -- Richard Hamilton and Chamique Holdsclaw. Commentators: Kevin Harlan, John Thompson, Cheryl Miller, reporters Craig Sager and Reggie Theus.

* TNT will put microphones on up to 10 players and coaches during each event.
